Bloggy Carnival Giveaway-Spa Basket of Indulgence

Thanks for stopping by A Mama’s Blog for Bloggy Carnival.  I am very excited to offer a wonderful and indulgent spa gift basket by Check Mix Bars.

I don’t have to tell my busy readers, how precious a little free time is.  The Basket of Indulgence will add a touch of luxury to that time-even if you don’t have time for a bath, this great basket includes something to indulge yourself whether you have five minutes, or five hours (don’t we wish!)

The Basket of Indulgence includes:

  • One box of Turtle Chex Mix Bars with crunchy Chex pieces, pretzels, and peanuts with caramel and chocolate.  AND they have less than 150 calories per bar, while providing at least 8 grams of whole grains per serving.  (So you can indulge with a sweet treat-guilt free!)
  • Chocolate Candles
  • Caramel Lotion
  • Spa Essentials- a loofah, hand massager, nail brush, spa towel, and wicker basket to hold it all

We all love Bloggy Carnival, and thanks to the Chex Mix Bars folks, you have a chance to win one of THREE Baskets of Indulgence!  There will be THREE winners, each receiving their own basket.

All you have to do is leave me a comment telling me your favorite homemade spa recipe, or a relaxation tip.  I am in the process of remodeling the new home we just purchased, and packing for our move.  I need all the relaxation tips I can get, and I always love homemade spa recipes.

This giveaway will end at 8PM Eastern time on Friday, October 31st, (Halloween), so be sure to enter before then.  One comment will enter you for a chance to win one of the three baskets.  The winners will be picked by random.org, and notified by e-mail.  The basket will be shipped directly to you, from Chex Mix Bars.  This contest is only open to residents of the USA.

This is a fabulous spa basket, and I know you will love it!  I can’t wait to read all your tips, and I’ll let you know my favorite ones in a future post.

Thanks again for stopping by, I hope you will visit A Mama’s Blog again, and good luck!

I make a salt scrub with a combination of salt and my favorite oil and fragrance and scrub myself with it. Then rinse off in the shower. After the shower I prop my feet up and read a good book.

I work out at the gym to help relieve stress and energy. For me, it’s relaxing. I also am a tea drinker so a nice hot cup of tea is also a great way to just slow down a bit.

I have started a “relaxation by association” routine. Every time I get my full blown relaxation on, I use lavender body lotion. During the times that I don’t have time to soak in a tub and read a good book, I use that lotion. The scent helps me associate being relaxed. It helps

My relaxing tip is to take a bath in the dark with only candles lighting the room! That is so relaxing and even better is you play some classical music, too! Thank you so much for doing this giveaway for us!

I know it is bad, but my favorite relaxing thing to do is lay out in the sun with my ipod and a good magazine. Or in the winter curl up with a blanket and a cup of hot chocolate.

My favorite way to relax is to go to a bible study without the kids. I get to learn, relax, and visit with friends … without worrying about the kids getting into stuff.

My favorite way to relax is a hot bubble bath. A good book after wards is great too. Thanks for the chance to win one of these great baskets!

Well i dont have any spa recipes but i do love to relax by taking a VERY LONG bath at night after the kiddos go to sleep and i add lavender to the water and it smells sooooo good! Awesome Giveaway. Thank you for the chance to win 🙂

No homemade spa ideas from me. The way that I love to relax though is by reading a good book quietly or enjoy a tv show during prime time, again quietly 🙂

Don’t throw away those green tea tea bags! Let them cool to room temperature and swipe under your eyes for a refreshing tightener/toner! Sounds silly but try it once and you’ll see.

Putting slices of thin cucumbers over my eyes and keeping them on there for a few minutes always rejuvenates my eyes.

Take a nice hot bubble bath with a good book!

Thank you for the great giveaway!

Relaxation? What is that? I have 3 kids, so just getting to go to Wal-Mart by myself is my escape to relaxation land.

One thing I let myself indulge in and spend money on is my favorite kinds of tea. Then every night before bed, I take at least 15-30 minutes to have a glass of tea while reading or watching my favorite tv show. Now anytime I need to relax and only have a minute all i have to do is get a cup of tea and I’m immediately taken back to that time of peace and relaxation.

My favorite relaxation tip: Instead of using nap time to catch up on cleaning, I try to use it to relax. Sit down with a good book, take a nice bubble bath, etc. I can clean any time! Thanks for the giveaway!

P.S. I’m giving away a subscription to Parents Magazine on my blog, so if you or someone you know might be interested, stop on by! 🙂

I wish I knew a good tip I’d sure use it! With a 3 month old I don’t get much time for that.

I do like to ligh candles and take a long hot bath!

To relax go to a quiet room and burn a lavender candle. I also like to read a fun book that always relaxes me.

i warm up an aromatherapy beads pillow and rest it on my head while i lay down (usually this puts me right to sleep, and when i wake up, i’m relaxed!)
