Thanks for stopping by A Mama’s Blog for Bloggy Carnival. I am very excited to offer a wonderful and indulgent spa gift basket by Check Mix Bars.
I don’t have to tell my busy readers, how precious a little free time is. The Basket of Indulgence will add a touch of luxury to that time-even if you don’t have time for a bath, this great basket includes something to indulge yourself whether you have five minutes, or five hours (don’t we wish!)
The Basket of Indulgence includes:
- One box of Turtle Chex Mix Bars with crunchy Chex pieces, pretzels, and peanuts with caramel and chocolate. AND they have less than 150 calories per bar, while providing at least 8 grams of whole grains per serving. (So you can indulge with a sweet treat-guilt free!)
- Chocolate Candles
- Caramel Lotion
- Spa Essentials- a loofah, hand massager, nail brush, spa towel, and wicker basket to hold it all
We all love Bloggy Carnival, and thanks to the Chex Mix Bars folks, you have a chance to win one of THREE Baskets of Indulgence! There will be THREE winners, each receiving their own basket.
All you have to do is leave me a comment telling me your favorite homemade spa recipe, or a relaxation tip. I am in the process of remodeling the new home we just purchased, and packing for our move. I need all the relaxation tips I can get, and I always love homemade spa recipes.
This giveaway will end at 8PM Eastern time on Friday, October 31st, (Halloween), so be sure to enter before then. One comment will enter you for a chance to win one of the three baskets. The winners will be picked by random.org, and notified by e-mail. The basket will be shipped directly to you, from Chex Mix Bars. This contest is only open to residents of the USA.
This is a fabulous spa basket, and I know you will love it! I can’t wait to read all your tips, and I’ll let you know my favorite ones in a future post.
Thanks again for stopping by, I hope you will visit A Mama’s Blog again, and good luck!

Nothing exciting – but my favorite way to relax is to lie on my bed and read a book!

I like some hot chocolate and my down comforter…always puts me in a sleepy mood!
My best relaxation tip comes from Hypnobirthing. I took that class with my last pregnancy, and I still use many of the relaxation techniques to help me drift off to sleep on those crazy nights! Thanks for the chance to win!!

My favorite relaxation time right now is during nap time! Before I get to work on all of the necessary chores, I always give myself a little time to decompress by playing a computer game or catching up on emails, etc.
My favorite relaxation tip is pathetic- I tell hubby I have to go to the grocery store, I drive really slow on the way there and listen to MY music. Take my time getting the groceries and wandering the aisles and then I drive really slow back home while snacking on something and again listening to MY music!
My favorite relaxtion tip is a night away from the kids. The removes most any stress I have. Another is take a nice bubble bath and after sit down with a good book.
Make sure to take time to relax each day, so tension doesn’t build!
My best tip, get a lock for the bathroom! Okay, so that’s on my to-do list. But, make sure you always get a few minutes with no distractions. A nice cup of cocoa doesn’t hurt either. Thanks for the giveaway!

My relaxation is getting to take a bath after my 4 month old is asleep!
My favorite relaxation tip is to take a deep breath and do a few yoga poses.
My favourite spa tip is to soak my feet in a basin of warm/hot water and epsom salts at the end of a long day, while I read or listen to music. Very relaxing!
I’m typing this with my son nursing in my lap and all I can think of is hand the kids off to hubby and take a bath!
I do not have any homemade spa recipes but I live to take a hot bubble bath. So relaxing
Soft scents from candles, plug-ins, or oils usually help me relax. Hope that helps!
My favorite relaxation activity is to veg on the coach watching food network. I don’t get to do this very often, but it’s nice when I do!
My favorite relaxation tip would be to take a short nap. Even 15 minutes does a world of good.
I love a hot bath while you burn vanilla candles!
My relaxation tip is to “disconnect” from media for awhile and just sit in quietness, it’s amazing how rejuvenating it can be!
Thanks for offering it!

My relaxation tip is to listen to music and just rest (I love music, so it helps me)
What a wonderful looking basket.
my easiest means of relaxing is a long hot bath, soft candle light and soft music.
Just one hour of me time plus one basket would make me a new woman 🙂

Essential oils! Lavender and something citrus… it’s a great addition to bathwater!

I have five little ones (oldest is six) and there is not a lot of relaxation going on around here these days. But we have a new baby so I am trying to enforce the rule that everyone takes a quiet time rest after lunch. They don’t have to nap, but they must all be doing something quiet so Mommy can have a few moments to relax and try to regain her sanity. 🙂
Thanks for the chance to win!
Every year at the holidays I make a ton of ziploc bags filled with epsom salt. I add essential oil to each bag (honeysuckle is my fav) each bag is good for one relaxing scented salt bath 🙂
My best relaxation tip….send the kids to Grandma’s house 😉 or you can try deep breathing exercises used in yoga.
I like to soak my fingertips in warm olive oil to moisturize my nails and cuticles.
I love my eye pack. They can be handmade with a rectangle of fabric, sewn like a pillow and filled with rice, and maybe some dried lavender if you like that kind of thing.
relaxing moments are few and far between in my house… just going to the bathroom alone can be relaxing! 🙂
a trip to starbucks or a moment with chocolate after they go to bed is also good for me!!

I would have to say that going out for coffee with a friend with out kids is where I find a little bit of a reprieve. It helps to cheer me up even when I am tired and then I come home ready to deal with all the craziness again.
