If you are like me, you might be trying to gradually replace household items in your home with more eco-friendly options. Who wants to expose their children and family to harmful chemicals, so often found in traditional cleaning products?
I have also been trying for over a year now, to reduce the amount of plastic bags we bring home from the grocery store. Once I started paying attention to how many bags I was bringing my groceries home in, it was so excessive. No wonder I always ended up with what seemed liked hundreds of bags under my sink. Sometimes the bagger at the store, would use one bag for one small item.
It bothers me that we still use plastic Ziploc bags, but quite frankly, they are so easy to use. I use the gallon sizes for everything from marinades to storing art supplies in. I use the sandwich and snack sizes for the boys’ snacks on the go, and for Ryan’s school lunches.
But probably the biggest single factor for me in holding off replacing more household items is the cost. We only have one natural grocery store in our town, and paper products, etc. are pretty expensive there. My regular grocery store doesn’t have that big of a selection of eco-friendly paper, plastic, and cleaning supplies. I suspect I am like a lot of people, who would like to purchase more eco-friendly products, but can’t justify spending double, triple, or even more on them.
Fortunately, we don’t have to now. There is a fantastic company, Lets Go Green.biz, which now provides many eco-friendly household products that are affordable. In fact, after reviewing their site, many products cost less than what I have been paying for conventional items.
What makes it even more affordable, in addition to their already low prices, if you use the coupon code FRIEND during checkout, you receive an additional 25% off your order! How wonderful is that?
One of the best bargains they have is their new BPA-free water bottles from Camelbak. I have seen similar BPA bottles in the sporting good store for at least $15. Sigg BPA-free water bottles are great, but in my health food store, they run from $20-$40. The price of Lets Go Green’s BPA-free water bottles: $12.89. With the 25% discount, they end up being $9.67. I have yet to see them less anywhere else. Plus they come in a variety of colors.
I am so excited and pleased to offer a fabulous giveway from Lets Go Green.biz. It is valued at over $37 and all the products are eco-friendly. One lucky person will win:
Let’s Go Green Large Canvas Shopping Bag

I would love to try the household water conservation kit!
I like the idea of the Bio Doggy Bags. I have a dog and wondered what would be best for picking up her business on walks.
Yeah for everyone who tries…I do as much as I can…and I don’t make excuses for the rest…I compost, use reusabel bags, buy natural/organic cleaners, recycle, use power strips, consume less and try to teach my kids the same values. Every little bit helps…
I have a bunch of nalgenes that I don’t want to use anymore but can’t afford to replace. I’m all over the camelbak water bottles!
Id love to try the cold drink cups…I love to use cups in the summer but its always bothered me about the plastic involved

I like the 5 minute shower coach.
Just found your site through All Mediocre! I love the idea of the toilet tank bank! The Camel Back bottles are fab too – – I already have one, but my hubby or daughter (who are always borrowing mine) could use one.

I love the bag and the water bottles….all I can ever think about is how the chemicals in water bottles leak into the water. Yuck…So I love the green option. Thanks

All of the cleaners look interesting to me since I am trying to switch to green cleaners!
I like that they have dimmer-friendly light bulbs! I didn’t know these existed and that’s what we need for our kitchen (or remove the dimmer switch which we hadn’t gotten around to yet).
I am interested in all the green cleaning products. I am a self employed housekeeper and have tried a few of the green products and found them to work well.

I should really get the BPA-Free Podium Bottles 21-oz. for all 4 members of my family, and toss our entire collection of bad plastic sippies and unsafe water toters.
The BPA bottles caught my interest right away. I have actually started taking glass mason jars filled with water to the park because I don’t want the kids drinking out of nasty plastic.
I would love to try the recloseable bags. I actually have the Camel bak BPA free bottle and love it!!
I like the large canvas grocery tote. All of my totes are too small for many groceries.
Wow. There are a lot of products I would like to try at lets go green. I would really like to try the Dish Detergent and the Recycled Paper Sampler. This is a great giveaway and I really hope I win as I am trying to live a more environmentally friendly life. Thanks.
I’d like to try the BPA free water bottles. I drink so much bottled water and I’d love to eliminate the amount of harmful plastic I am putting into my body.
wow what a nice post about coupons and retail information.
Its a very needed information because i need some coupons to buy somethings.
I wanted to send an email out to you guys so maybe you can help others. I purchased a Go Green product from a website called power2savings. At first I were skeptical of there product but I was intrigued on a 60 day money back guarantee. I installed the unit in August and in October I seen a 12% reduction in my energy bill from the month before and a 14 % reduction ($73.00 savings) in my bill from October of 2007 (just to compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges) I would recommend this product to anyone who has an electric bill. ANYONE.
