If you are like me, you might be trying to gradually replace household items in your home with more eco-friendly options. Who wants to expose their children and family to harmful chemicals, so often found in traditional cleaning products?
I have also been trying for over a year now, to reduce the amount of plastic bags we bring home from the grocery store. Once I started paying attention to how many bags I was bringing my groceries home in, it was so excessive. No wonder I always ended up with what seemed liked hundreds of bags under my sink. Sometimes the bagger at the store, would use one bag for one small item.
It bothers me that we still use plastic Ziploc bags, but quite frankly, they are so easy to use. I use the gallon sizes for everything from marinades to storing art supplies in. I use the sandwich and snack sizes for the boys’ snacks on the go, and for Ryan’s school lunches.
But probably the biggest single factor for me in holding off replacing more household items is the cost. We only have one natural grocery store in our town, and paper products, etc. are pretty expensive there. My regular grocery store doesn’t have that big of a selection of eco-friendly paper, plastic, and cleaning supplies. I suspect I am like a lot of people, who would like to purchase more eco-friendly products, but can’t justify spending double, triple, or even more on them.
Fortunately, we don’t have to now. There is a fantastic company, Lets Go Green.biz, which now provides many eco-friendly household products that are affordable. In fact, after reviewing their site, many products cost less than what I have been paying for conventional items.
What makes it even more affordable, in addition to their already low prices, if you use the coupon code FRIEND during checkout, you receive an additional 25% off your order! How wonderful is that?
One of the best bargains they have is their new BPA-free water bottles from Camelbak. I have seen similar BPA bottles in the sporting good store for at least $15. Sigg BPA-free water bottles are great, but in my health food store, they run from $20-$40. The price of Lets Go Green’s BPA-free water bottles: $12.89. With the 25% discount, they end up being $9.67. I have yet to see them less anywhere else. Plus they come in a variety of colors.
I am so excited and pleased to offer a fabulous giveway from Lets Go Green.biz. It is valued at over $37 and all the products are eco-friendly. One lucky person will win:

It is all about the garden for us- The water saving garden hose nozzle is great!
Great contest-Thanks to Twitter I found you
We’re looking for ways to save water, so all of the water conservation products caught my eye – so the household water conservation kit and the 5 minute shower coach would be HUGE in this house.
Love the contest, we’re focused on going green in our family and business, so I appreciate the heads up about the Let’s Go Green site too.
I’m happy to see another company selling the eco-friendly, compostable tableware. Great site, great giveaway!
Linked to you in my Organic Weed Killer post today. 🙂
The LED nighlights caught my attention. Need to get soem of those. 🙂 Great products!
Oh nice to see the eco-friendly plates and bowls! I’d also love a water bottle in every color.
Great giveaway, thanks!
BPA-free .75L Water Bottle
Pink of course !
I have a weakness for cleaning products so I’ll have to get some of those! I’m especially interested in the bathroom cleaner 🙂
This is a great website! Although my local grocery has a large selection of green paper products, I cannot find green trash bags or plastic products! Those really caught my attention. I also loved the sample packs so that you could try a little of everything before committing to buying in bulk (which is cheaper!). I also thought the “green gifts” were great too. I am going to a wedding this weekend and may order one of those gift sampler packs for the new couple! Thanks for the great post!
The water saving garden hose nozzle caught my attention. I would love one of those.
My area is starting to slowly get in on the green but I’m having to look online more and more for what I’m looking for! This was a great find and I’ll be sure to order even if I do/don’t win!
We liked: The water bottles, especially in purple (too cute), the plastic sampler package (didn’t even think about these before), and the toilet tank bank, cause I know flushing can waste “alot” of electricity!
I like the BPA water bottles, they look great. I also like the idea of the garden hose thing – we do a lot of watering and this would be great. Thanks for this opportunity to win.
The all purpose cleaner looks wonderful. I hate having a lot of bottles of cleaners in the cupboards. I like an all in one product.
The toilet tank bank looks great as well.
My six year old son just completed a project he calls “saving the earth” and his new mantra is “reduce, reuse recycle” so he keeps tabs on everything I use now. My favorite Let’s Go Green product: definitely the kitchen trash bags.
I’d like to try that walnut scrubber. The kitchen floor, particularly under the high chair, is so far undefeated in its hold on dirt and crud and food.
i was just thinking last night – i wish i knew where i could find big trash bags that were eco-friendly! thanks for posting about this business! i’m also REALLY interested in their laundry items! thanks again!
Would like to try the eco-friendly plastic bags and wrap. Thanks!
I would love to try the Toilet Tank Bank. Thanks 🙂
I love the idea of the toilet tank bank. I was always afraid dropping the brick in my toilet would break it.
I like the Freezer Bags that are PVC and Plasticizer free. I’d love to try them.
I like the trash bags.
We do a lot of gardening, so I’d like to try the water-saving hose nozzle. I want several of the water bottles and a walnut sponge(so cool!)
Our family has definitely been making a concerted effort to be more green. I have used reuseable shopping bags for at least 10 years now and try to use healthier cleaners. Next on my list is dealing with all of the plastics. For that reason, I would be most interested in the BPA-free water bottles and the eco-friendly plastic bags and wrap.
I would like to try the 32oz. Glass Cleaner!
I really like the sugar cane bowls and plates. Since we are in a drought, it would be wonderful to have degradable plates to use instead of having to wash real plates all the time
I like the LED nightlights and the picnic ware. Very cool.
I’d like to try all these products, but if I have to choose only one it would be the 32oz. Glass Cleaner. I’ve recently been trying some of the GREEN products and Seventh Generation and so far I have been pleased. My lungs have been thanking me when I have to clean the bathroom.
I really like their biodegradable plates and cutlery. We don’t have a dishwasher so when we throw parties we always use paper and plastic. I feel bad that it all gets thrown away. It’s nice to see that there is biodegradable things. That will definitely make me feel better.
I’m always looking for more market bags. I hate using plastic sacks. Also, has anyone noticed the price of toilet paper? It’s outragous! I’d love to use the stuff that’s much better for the enviroment. Thanks for this great giveaway!!

I’d like to try the water-saving garden hose nozzle!
I’d like to try the toilet tank, as we have older toilets in our house that use a lot of water, but the tank is too small for a gallon jug.
Sugarcane Bowls and plates are really neat. Sometime you don’t want to take your dishes to the park and this is a great alternative. Thanks
I like the CFL chandelier light bulbs. We have a few ceiling fans and they are the only lights in our house that aren’t CFL’s yet.
What a great prize and I love that tote bag!
The PVC-free plastic wrap and storage bags sound great! Thanks!
I love the compostable plates and utensils. I try not to use this stuff a ton, but sometimes it is pretty helpful. What a better option though than traditional paper goods.
We carpool and take the bus when we can, but would like to do more. This could be the inspiration!
I LOOOOOOOOOVE the 5 Minute Shower Coach. Our 11 year old daughter is always taking showers that are too long. We time her and give her a “count down” as to when she needs to get done but she always goes past that time. I think if she has something she can see for herself then she can better pace herself and get the shower done without taking her time. My son is pretty good with the quick showers, but my daughter really needs something like this.
I also love the water bottle (LOVE the purple color) and I like the utensils because my kids sometimes have things for lunch where they need a spoon or a fork and whenever I give them one from home (my actual dinnerware) they end up loosing it and I am always buying more and more pieces and none of our stuff matches anymore.
Thanks for the great prize offering adn the link to the site.
I love the BPA-free water bottles! There are some great products there!
I am interested in the ecofriendly utensils and plates and such. Now that it’s summer, we’re having a lot of picnics and barbecues and we go thru a lot of paper plates and plastic utensils. I would love to use these.
Oooh, I love the biodegradable garbage bags! What a great idea. It bothers me so much that we have to use them in the first place, but that would be SO cool to not have to guilt about it!
The walnut scrubber sponge looks like something I’d try!

I think I am going to order some of the paper products by the case. great deal.
Wow, really interested in the BPA free bottles-what a great price!
I like their 1 GPM sink faucet filters. 🙂
I’m all over those water bottles! You’re right, that’s a good price!
I would love to try the BPA Free bottles or even the led night lights! Thanks for the great giveaway!
I really like their LED nightlights. They would be great for my little one and me! Thanks so much for the opportunity.
I like the 13-Gallon Drawstring Tall Kitchen Bags.
I would love to try the 33-Gallon Ecosafe Degradable Large Trash Bags and the LED Night Light!
I’m really curious abou the recycled toilet paper. It doesn’t need to be cusiony soft, but I just wonder if it is “rough” or not!
Would love to tr the biodegradable utensils- cleaning up after parties is too much with reusable ones, but I hate throwing out the disposables. Perfect solution.
